A lot of history for me in this doorway at the Plaza Hotel in Copenhagen.. back in the day I would wait for countless hours, pretty much right where I’m standing here, to meet my musical heroes. From ‘75 to ‘78, give or take, I met Ritchie Blackmore, Glenn Hughes, David Coverdale, Phil Lynott, Ronnie Dio and Robin Trower among others, got autographs, pix and a brief moment of feeling like I belonged to something cool… forty years later the fuckin doorway looks exactly as I remember it.
